Game UpdatesThis page indexes Riot's official Valorant news — patch notes, agent and map reveals, upcoming skin lines, VCT esports coverage, and dev updates — so you can see everything in one place instead of checking playvalorant.com separately.
Every headline here links out to Riot's own page, which is where the full article lives. What you see on this page is a headline, the official image, a category and a short excerpt — enough to decide whether it is worth your click. Riot Games is the source and the author of all news content linked from this page. FragLy does not republish their articles.
Most players skim patch notes for the agent they main and stop there. That misses the two sections that usually matter more.
Read the weapon and economy changes first. A price adjustment or a damage-curve tweak silently changes every buy decision you make for the next act — far more rounds than a niche ability nerf touches. If a gun's cost moves, the whole force-buy threshold moves with it. Our economy guide covers the numbers those changes shift.
Then read the nerfs to agents you play against, not the ones you play. Knowing that a popular sentinel's trap now has a longer arm time changes how you take space this week. Knowing your own agent lost five damage on an ability changes almost nothing about your decision-making.
Ignore the tier lists that appear within an hour of a patch. Nobody has enough games to know yet. Give it two weeks, then look at your own numbers rather than someone else's opinion — the FragLy tracker shows your real win rate per agent, which is the only tier list that applies to you.
Two recurring announcements are worth acting on immediately. When the map pool rotates, spend one custom game refreshing callouts on the returning map — for a couple of weeks almost nobody remembers the setups, and that is genuinely free rating. See the map pool guide. When a new act starts, your rank re-places from your existing hidden MMR rather than resetting; the rank guide explains why your first few games swing so hard.
